1.New Town ( Nové Město)
New Town Prague district is located on the right bank of the river Vltava. Before the unification of the so-called four towns of Prague and is the youngest parts of medieval Prague.  On the picture is the Wenceslas Square with the National Museum.
2.Wenceslas Square is Prague's cultural and business center. It has witnessed many important historical events. Here happened the Soviet occupation in 1968 and the Velvet Revolution twenty years later in 1989. It is the traditional place for demonstrations, celebrations and other mass meetings. National Museum - a  neo-renaissance building by architect Josef Schulz from the 19th century  dominates the Wenceslas Square.  The building hosts the country´s natural and culture history exposition.
3.The Square of the Republic lies in the areas of the former moat between the Old and New Town. Here  the independance of Czechoslovakia was declared - the so-called First Republic, and hence its present name. On the picture is the Municipal Hall.
4.Theatre Hybernia or in Czech - Divadlo Hybernu is a former monastery of the order Hybernians or also called the Irish Franciscans. According to rumors they brought the first potatoes to Prague
5.Municipal House was built in the early twentieth century in Art Nouveau style by the architect A. Balšánek and O. Polivka. Interior was decorated by leading Czech designers such as Alfons Mucha. Its interior comprises several rooms, the largest of which is the Smetana Hall named after famous Czech composer.
7.Prašná brána  - Powder Tower is a gothic gate from the 15th century standing on the border of the New Town and Old Town, it served as a gate to the Old Town and as a watch tower as well. The guards had in the tower stock of ammunition and there for the name for the guns powder kept inside the building.
6.Municipal Hall, on the right Palladium - biggest mall in the city center.
8.Národní divadlo  National TheatreThe National Theatre is the national symbol of Czech patriots at the time of the Austro Hungarian Empire. According the rumors was built by public subscription, so it is said the nation built the theatre by themselfs. The truth is that the construction for the most part was financed by the state and the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I.
10.The State Opera, theater of opera and ballet is located near the National Museum building and belongs to the most important music scenes in Europe. Since 1888, when it was originally opened as the New German Theatre, performed here a large number of world renown artists such as Gustav Mahler, Richard Strauss or Enrico Caruso.

12.The New Town was founded in 1348 by the Czech King Charles IV. There are many interesting places and sights In this district such as follows :  National Theatre, Wenceslas Square with the building of the National Museum, Church of our Lady of Snow, Central Station, Masaryk Station, Republic Square, Emauzy Monastery, Botanical Garden, Slavic Island, and the Charles Square in New Town Hall.
